Everybody loves a story…and every city has its own legends. We have found a special way for cities, counties and regions to share their folklore – welcome to the ‘Honor Walk” from Walk of Fame International. We partner with local governments to commemorate key elements and people in a municipality’s history. We accomplish this in a unique and entertaining manner using creative placemaking techniques featuring custom-created pathways, medallions, public art, landscaping enhanced by accompanying apps, websites, education modules, games and contests.
Working with local governments, groups and stakeholders, Walk of Fame International transforms underutilized public spaces into thriving community gathering points. We utilize the existing landscape and create urban trails and cyber hubs that convey the essence of a city’s unique and exciting story and its message. Our Honor Walks bring individuals together to enhance community bonding inspired by collective experience and shared input. These efforts create local identity, entertain, educate, teach, share, stimulate local economy and contribute to local and national education curricula.
We have started work on the website @ http://sandibat.com/. Feedback is appreciated. Once stakeholders and community bless the layout, the LEAGUE of Amazing Programmers will move forward on app development. We are asking the $28,000 to help with the costs associated with developing the San Diego Bay Art and History Trails app.
The primary audience for the San Diego Bay Art and History Trails app is the residents of San Diego. Approximately 3,000,000 San Diego residents live within a 1-mile radius of San Diego Bay – They are all potential users of the San Diego Bay Art and History Trails app. A secondary audience is the more than 8,700,000 visitors who visit San Diego each year.
To measure the success of the San Diego Bay Art and History Trails app project, we rely on app and website metrics coupled with social media awareness, contest and quiz results. These metrics will be customized to meet our stakeholders’ specific needs and requirements.
